CCCPTA President's Message
Summer is a great time to take a look at the real mission and purpose of PTA. By focusing on the mission of PTA you can create an overall plan for your local PTA that meets the needs of your school. Providing educational programs, such as a Cybersafety Night, at your PTA meeting not only gives parents and students of your school valuable safety information it follows the PTA mission to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children. Take some time this summer to check out the National PTA website for more valuable tips on programs and fun events your PTA can have in the 2007 – 2008 school year. Also, if you are a member of a local Citrus County PTA or PTSA be sure to make plans to attend the Citrus County PTA/PTSA Fall Training on August 27 (6pm – 8:30pm) for more ideas. More details about Fall Training are coming later this summer. Thank you for supporting our local PTAs and PTSAs as they strive to provide important parent involvement events and opportunities as well as educational programs for students and parents. If you are not already a PTA member, please consider joining one of our local PTAs as we continue to build a stronger TEAM. "Together Everyone Accomplishes More". -Rhonda Kauffman
